Understanding the Products Page

The Products section in the sidebar includes Product Profit (sales, costs, and fees by SKU or listing) and Inventory (quantities available to sell on connected channels).

Open Product Profitability at Products → Product Profit in the sidebar. Use Show SKU above the table to show or hide the SKU column (saved for Inventory too). See the definitions below for each column on the Performance tab:

  • Channel — sales channel where the item was sold (e.g. Etsy, Amazon).
  • Units Sold — total number of units sold in the period, excluding refunds.
  • Gross Sales — item revenue for the sale (price plus shipping and gift wrap when they apply on the line). Sales tax and refunds are excluded. Amazon uses Principal from your synced settlement detail—the same basis Seller Central uses in Finances, not the Manage Orders “order total.”
  • Product Cost — Unit Cost multiplied by units sold.
  • Est. Fees — estimated selling fees for that channel. See Estimated Selling Fees.
  • Profit — gross sales plus product cost and estimated fees. What you keep after production costs and channel fees, before fixed operating expenses (e.g. advertising, workspace).
  • Margin — profit divided by gross sales. Percent of each sale you keep after product cost and estimated fees.

The Products page analysis is based on the sale date (Etsy: order date; Amazon: finance posted date on each shipment line), which does not necessarily match the bank deposit. A payout can bundle many orders and land in a later month. Your P&L still follows cash that hits the bank.

Connect Amazon on Integrations and run Sync Now so Performance can load shipment lines from your settlements. If Amazon rows are missing after connect, sync again—older settlements backfill in small batches each sync.

The Cost tab is where you enter the unit cost for each product, which consist of total materials, labor, and shipping costs you pay to produce one item. This information is used on the Performance tab to calculate product profitability.

Estimated Selling Fees

Est. Fees on the Products page is what the sales channel keeps on the sale—either estimated from published rates (Etsy) or totaled from synced settlement data (Amazon).

Etsy (estimated from published US rates)

  • 6.5% transaction fee and 3% payment processing on the item price, shipping, and gift wrap
  • $0.25 payment processing once per order, split across items by sales share
  • $0.20 listing fee per unit sold
  • Sales tax is left out of the 3%. Etsy collects it from the buyer and remits it.

Amazon (from synced Finances, not a fee calculator)

  • Per-item fees on each shipment line in your Amazon settlement sync—typically referral (commission) and other selling fees Amazon reports on that line
  • Requires Amazon connected on Integrations and a successful Sync Now (same sync that powers payout matching)
  • If a line has no fee detail yet, Est. Fees may show as zero until that settlement is synced

The following are excluded from Est. Fees on the Products page:

  • Ads, shop subscriptions, and (for Amazon) account-level charges not tied to a product line on the Performance tab
  • Sales tax the channel collects
  • Unit Cost
  • Print on demand (POD) production and shipping costs.

Unit Cost

Unit Cost is what you pay to make and fulfill one unit: materials, labor, and shipping (if applicable).

Includes

  • Materials and labor to make the item
  • Postage, labels, or print-on-demand fulfillment you pay to get it to the buyer

Excludes

  • Channel platform selling fees, like transaction fees and payment processing fees
  • Sales tax the channel collects from the buyer

Channel Inventory

The Inventory page under Products in the sidebar shows how many units you have available to sell on connected sales channels. Use the Channel column to see Etsy vs Amazon.

This is a snapshot of listing stock—not units sold in a period (see Product Profitability → Performance) and not raw craft supplies (materials tracking is not available in the app today).

Etsy: one row per active listing (the same SKU on two listings appears as two rows). Connect Etsy on Integrations. Quantities refresh when Etsy sync runs (daily automatic sync and Sync Now). If inventory or SKUs are missing, reconnect Etsy on Integrations to grant listings read access, then run Sync Now.

Etsy Available matches Shop Manager for the listing: if you set one quantity for the whole listing (variations like color or add-ons that do not each have their own stock), we show that number—not the sum of duplicate rows in Etsy’s API. If you track stock separately per variation (typical for sizes), we add those variant quantities together.

Amazon: merchant-fulfilled (FBM) and FBA quantities sync on Sync Now when your SP-API app has Inventory and Product Listing roles. Each fulfillment path is a separate row when both apply to the same SKU (same Channel label, different Available counts). FBM-only sellers typically see one row per SKU.

SKUs and Listings

Product Profitability groups sales into one row per product. Turn off Show SKU on Product Profitability (Performance) or Inventory if you do not use SKUs.

  • When a SKU is set, sales for that SKU are combined across listings on the Performance tab (Etsy and Amazon). The listing column shows Multiple — title (from the highest-sales listing in that period) and N listings when more than one listing shares that SKU; hover for each listing title (current channel listing title when inventory is synced, otherwise the latest sale title).
  • For a single listing, the column shows the current listing title from Inventory sync when available; otherwise the most recent sale title in scope (Performance: selected period; Cost: all sales). Amazon listing thumbnails also come from Inventory sync when the finance line has no image.
  • When there is no SKU present, the row represents a single listing.
  • Inventory is different: each active Etsy listing is its own row, even when two listings share a SKU. Amazon is one row per SKU per fulfillment path (FBM vs FBA) when both apply.
  • The Channel column on Product Profitability is where the sale happened (Etsy and Amazon today). Inventory uses the same channels; others may be added later.
