Accounts & Transactions

Removing An Account

Go to the Accounts page, find the account you want to delete, and click the red X icon on the right. If there is no red X icon, it belongs to a different household member and can only be deleted by that user. On the mobile app, press the account row to open the Account Details screen and then press the Remove Account button. Removing an account also removes all associated historical transactions.

Reviewing New Synced Transactions

New transactions will automatically appear in blue on the Transactions page. You should ideally perform a quick review of new transactions as they appear to ensure they are categorized correctly. You can review and mark transactions as viewed in any of the following ways: (1) Click the blue dot next to an individual transaction, (2) Change the category of a transaction, (3) Click the Mark All Viewed button at the top of the Transactions page, (4) Split a transaction. Viewed transactions will no longer appear in blue.

Adding Manual Accounts

On the Accounts page, press the Add Account button and then the Add Manual Account button to create an asset or liability. Manual accounts appear in net worth and can be used for manual transactions. Balances on manual accounts are only updated when you edit them in the app, since they do not sync from a bank.

Adding Manual Transactions

On the Transactions page, use the Add button to enter a manual transaction (or + icon in the mobile app). You can remove a manual transaction from the transaction actions menu on the Transactions page rows (three dots on desktop). In the mobile app, press the transaction row to open the Transaction Details screen and then press the Remove Transaction button. Synced transactions from your bank cannot be deleted in the app, but you can hide them from reports and analyses.

Hiding Transactions From Reports

You may want to hide or exclude transactions from reports and analyses, so one-time expenses like a large medical bill do not skew your budget results and monthly comparisons. You can do this by selecting Hide from Budgets & Trends from the transaction actions menu on the Transactions page rows (three dots on desktop). In the mobile app, press the transaction row to open the Transaction Details screen and turn on the Hide toggle.
